{"id":1858,"date":"2022-06-24T11:23:06","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T05:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.orionrealtors.com\/blog\/?p=1858"},"modified":"2022-06-24T11:23:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-24T05:53:08","slug":"imt-sohna-soon-to-be-an-it-hub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.orionrealtors.com\/blog\/imt-sohna-soon-to-be-an-it-hub\/","title":{"rendered":"IMT-Sohna soon to be an it hub?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gurgaon: The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure (HSIIDC) on Thursday held consultations with stakeholders to put forward its vision for development of IMT Sohna as the next destination for the electronics &amp; IT industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the meeting, held in Gurgaon, HSIIDC officials presented their plans to boost industrial and commercial activities in the township, and consulted industry leaders for feedback and suggestions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said the meeting elicited a positive response, and some businesses showed interest in setting up their offices there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday\u2019s meeting was to showcase the government and the department\u2019s plan for IMT Sohna. We presented our vision and outlined the future plans for the area. The representatives of the industries that were present in the meeting showed enthusiastic interest. Many of the entrepreneurs have also expressed their desire to set up their new ventures here. We\u2019ll hold another round of consultations with the industry soon,\u201d said HSIIDC chief coordinator (industries) Sunil Sharma. HSIIDC plans to develop IMT Sohna as an IT hub based on the previous experience in introducing automobile clusters in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IMT Sohna, to be spread over 1,500 acres, falls on the KMP Expressway. The plan to develop IMT Sohna was conceived in 2018, but at the time, the government received a tepid response. In 2020, the government announced that 500 acres of the total area for IMT Sohna will be developed as an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC). It picked up momentum last year when the Centre said it will fund Rs 334 crore for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Source: Times of
