However, Greenwood City and Mayfield Garden refrained from the process, raising concerns among residents, who said they have to now wait longer for road repairs, drain desilting work, and regular water supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are highly disappointed. The developer played a last-minute trick, saying that the deficient infrastructure is Rs 4.5 crore and not Rs 16.37 crore as the MCG estimated. We have been struggling since 2012, managing our affairs on our own. This is only to delay the takeover,\u201d said Col R K Sharma, RWA president, B block, Mayfield Garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MCG said the delay in the takeover is due to the objections raised by the builders. \u201cThe Mayfield Garden representative maintained that the deficient infrastructure estimate is only Rs 4.5 crore, while the representative of Greenwood City said they wanted to plug the deficiencies first,\u201d said an MCG official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vineeta Khosla, RWA president, B and C blocks, Greenwood City, said that she has been living in the colony for the past 10 years and had not seen any major maintenance work. \u201cThere has been no re-carpeting of roads, no cleaning of sewer lines, and no maintenance of streetlights.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kuldeep Yadav, councillor of ward 29, said the delay is due to unnecessary hurdles created by the developers. \u201cThe developers are now saying that the estimates of deficient infrastructure, which they will have to pay for, are wrong. The reality is that they are creating trouble for the residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Source: ET
