The department will be developing an online module for this purpose\nand directions have already been given to the IT wing, DTCP\u2009officials said. The\nmove comes in the wake of multiple complaints by home buyers in the allotment\nof affordable homes and non-availability of forms. The flats should be allotted\non a first-come, first-served basis on pre-defined rates, the department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On\u2009February\n18, KM Pandurang, director, DTCP issued directions for the creation of online\nsystem to provide applications forms for affordable housing projects through an\nonline portal. This module will be developed by the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IT\nwing and it will ensure that home buyers can purchase and submit these forms\nonline. Till the time the online module becomes operational, the applications\nforms would be made available at the office of senior town planner in their\nrespective areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directions\nin this regard were issued to senior town planners of Faridabad, Rohtak,\nPanchkula and Hisar, said DTCP\u2009officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As\nper the direction issued by the DTCP, \u201cThe applications shall be invited online\nthrough STP of the respective circle and then allotment shall be made by the\ncolonizer. The first draw of lots shall be held within four months from the\ndate of first advertisement and there shall be a gap of at least three months\nbetween any two such advertisements. After three such attempts by STP, the\ncoloniser will make allotment of flats on a first-come, first-served basis but\non pre-defined rates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senior\nDTCP officials said that the decision has been taken after a number of\ncomplaints were lodged by home buyers that application forms for affordable\nhousing projects were not being made available, and also flats were being sold\non premium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe\ndecision has been taken to streamline the allotment of flats in affordable housing\nprojects and to ensure genuine buyers can get these. The work on online module\nhas also been started and till then forms would be available at the STP\noffice,\u201d said Amrik Singh, senior town
